All our products are crafted using solely sustainable Mongolian cashmere, from cashmere goats living in Inner Mongolia, famous for the best cashmere quality.
Why is Cashmere the most Eco-friendly fiber?
Cashmere is the most natural fiber because it is biodegradable and cashmere goats naturally shed their fiber during spring season. This means cashmere has minimum impact on nature, and furthermore, making use of it doesn’t affect environment because cashmere goats get rid of their thick fiber regardless of human intervention.
What makes our cashmere fiber sustainable?
Sustainability includes three aspects:
1. Animal Welfare and Ethical Cashmere Sourcing
As Mongolians, their relationship with animals is comparable to that between fish and water. They have depended on the animals for thousands of years to survive on the great Gobi desert. As a result, respect to animals has long become a tradition, and their culture and religion further enhances this relation.
2. Environmental Awareness as Code of Conduct
As an enterprise, the manufacturer takes part in social activities that benefit their community. Furthermore, they work with partners who are equally aware of the impacts of their behavior. Consequently, we are able to guarantee that the whole production process is under a mutually agreed code of conduct. It ensures that all products meet our standards of sustainability.
3. International Standards for Ethical Cashmere Production
All the materials used and crafted, from raw fiber to finished products, meet international standards. Meanwhile, the factories undergo human right audits such as BSCI and SMETA. This is to ensure that there is no human right abuses among the cashmere factories.
